BUNGA NG PAGMAMASID

Habang sakay ako ng jeep...
Mula Amadeo hanggang Manggahan, Gen. Trias

MY WORK.. MY ACHIEVEMENTS...

I am AMPARO CHRISTINE RECON - PANGANIBAN, graduate of Philippine Normal University major in Social Science and has been employed in the public school (Tagaytay City Science National High School) since 1998 and has been teaching Araling Panlipunan I for 8 years.

            As an ICT non-major, it is a great challenge for me to teach ICT, for I have only some training background from Cavite Computer Center, Imus, Cavite as a beneficiary of Gov. Ayong Maliksi program for members of Amadeo Women’s Club and Asosasyon ng mga Ina sa Cavite.  With the training, I was designated as an ICT teacher in our school.

            My capability as an ICT teacher is further enhanced when Tagaytay City Science National High School became a partner of Smartschool Program which covers 3 components: ACCESS, CONTENT AND TRAINING.

Program offered one year, free of charge, unlimited Internet access and connectivity.

Smart Schools offers teacher training on Basic Computer Literacy, ICT Integration in the Classroom, Basic Troubleshooting and Maintenance, Leadership for School Heads, and Web & Content.

It provides access to relevant, educational content through the Smart Schools Program website, www.smartschools.ph, an online incentive program under its “School Mo, Panalo!” program, and hosting of the school’s website.

The Program also provides training on web and content in preparation for the “Doon Po Sa Amin” (DPSA) Learning Challenge (www.doonposaamin.ph). The DPSA Learning Challenge is a project where teachers and students of Smart Schools Program partner schools will be encouraged to use computer and Internet technologies to generate web-based information and educational materials about their respective communities.

Web designing using MS Frontpage is one of the competencies included in the ICT syllabus provided by the Division of Cavite.  One of the trainings I participated under the Smart Schools Program is web designing last May 11 – 15, 2009 at Collegio de San Juan de Letran.  This training leads to the development of our school website which serves as the bridge between the school and its alumni, parents, students and other stakeholders.  I am very glad to inform everyone that our school website was judged best website for the month of August 2009.

Through the Smart Schools Program, I can now teach my students how to create their own website and I can proudly say that our students have achieved the required level of competency in this area.  In fact, our students joined “Doon Po Sa Amin” Learning Challenge and submitted four entries this year.

KATARUNGAN

After a decision of a case in a judicial court... mix feelings!

PARENTING

I'm single parent of two girls... ang hirap!!! as in...
For 12 years of being a mother to my kids, i can't consider myself as a responsible and good parent to them.
I love them more than my life.
I am a democratic type of person but with my kids, I tend to be so strict...that they don't understand most of the time.

I have so many fears for my kids...
I'm always hoping and praying that they will always be safe and will have a good future ahead of them.
...that they will not experience the same mistakes that i did.

I have to be more patience, more responsible and be my kids' strength for life!

With the help of my mother...
and with God's guidance

inspirational quote for me

For everything there is a season,
And a time for every matter under heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
A time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
A time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to seek, and a time to lose;
A time to keep, and a time to throw away;
A time to tear, and a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate,
A time for war, and a time for peace.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

SINGLE

I'm separated!
Super accepted ko na...
To be single for life!
Kahit at first eh super hurt ako because of my kids.

Not necessarily nmang lahat eh separated s partner, ung iba they prefer to be single for life, ang iba nman kahit nagbuntis eh ayaw magpakasal kase mas mahalaga eh ang anak.

It really runs in the blood!

career

We always asked since we were small...
"WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP?"
When we were in high school.. that's the time we are preparing for the course in college that we want to take up...
In all those times... my answer is "i don't know"
And today... i still don't know

I felt that I'm just pressured to finish my college degree...
Because I belong to the family of a degree holder...
Because I don't want my mother to get frustrated with me, a single parent who's working so hard for me, her only daughter...

How i wish there's NSAT (National Secondary Assessment Test) during my high school days so that my skills and abilities will be assessed and i will know where should i be.Hindi ko alam ang forte ko, kung sang laranagan ako magaling.

Obviously, until now i don't know... para san ba talaga ako
I finished Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Social Science in Philippine Normal University. I am working as a government employee in the Department of Education-Tagaytay City Science High School as Social Studies Teacher for six(6) years then as ICT teacher up to now. Ang layo d b? Magkaibang magkaiba ang Social Studies at ICT.

I have simple dreams... to have a bahay kubo, to be a housewife and a mother to my children.
It did not happen. I have to be a working mom for my children.

I love tiangge, and i am a member of different business networking because once i dream of having a business of my own... pero sabi q s sarili ko, hindi nman ako magaling mathematics, kaya ko ba un?

I also thought of working overseas...
Am i qualified?
I have nothing to write on my resume...
I am just a simple woman..
I am just a college graduate...
I am just a simple government employee...
I am just a social studies and ICT teacher...
I am just a simple mother of 2 kids...

Maybe i am just too tired and stressed of my work that's why i am writing again about this, like my other blog entry "WORK DESCRIPTION"
Again, i am the best example of the figure of speech...
Jack of all trades, master of none

REALIZATION

Nakakapagod magalit...

Nakakapagod malungkot...

I always want to have peace of mind.

Sabi nga nila just be happy and look at the brighter side of it.

God knows what's best for all of us.. even at first we can't understand why it is happening to us... still it is the best.. Gods' plan

motivation

it is a requirement everytime we make a lesson plan as a teacher...

but i believe that motivation should be incidental, and can be done in the entire period of the class not only at the beginning of the class.

Incentives motivate learning.
Incentives include privileges and receiving praise from the instructor. The instructor determines an incentive that is likely to motivate an individual at a particular time.

Same thing in a workplace. Motivation not only applies in students. Our boss should also knows how to give incentives to motivate all the employees to work effectively. Simple words means a lot for us to be recognize in whatever we accomplish.

SUGAL...

WHAT IS Visita Iglesia?

ACCORDING TO SIMBAHAN.NET

Every Holy Thursday during Lent, also known as semana santa or cuaresma, it has been the tradition of the Filipino Catholic faithful to do the visita iglesia, literally, church visit. This practice, introduced by the Spanish colonizers, goes back to the time of the early church where Christians would visit the seven great basilicas in Rome for the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament during Maundy Thursday. These churches are: The Saint John Lateran, St. Peter, Saint Mary Major, Saint Paul Outside the Walls, St. Lawrence Outside the Walls, Holy Cross in Jerusalem and St. Sebastian Outside the Walls. The last was replaced by Pope John Paul II with the Sanctuary of the Madonna of Divine Love in 2000.

For Filipinos, it’s not only the Blessed Sacrament but a contemplation of the fourteen stations of the cross. Traditionally, seven churches are visited with two stations per visit. While others, with more time and effort, visit fourteen. Starting with this post, the Visita Iglesia series will commence where I will be featuring colonial era churches, located in certain places or provinces where it is possible to visit at least seven of these religious structures rich in history, heritage and architecture.

where i belong...

kapamilya ka ba?

Kapuso?

Sosyal?

Jologs?

I remember teaching my students in my history class about heirarchy in society during the Spanish Period. May Datu, Maharlika, Timawa at Alipin...

Out ka!

Don k n lang sa masasabi mo "I BELONG!"

ka-age bracket..

KA-SALARY BRACKET!

hahaha! ang buhay... parang life!

ACROPHOBIA

Have seen this? or...
Have you been here?

People in Metro Manila are familiar with the MMDA's Pink Overpass...

Last week i went to Pag-Ibig Fund in Atrium Building, Makati Avenue, City of Makati. From Cavite, i have to ride MRT. I got the chance to walk in MMDA's pink Overpass. It's a good project from MMDA but i really felt nervous walking there because it's open at the side and i felt i might fall... or i just have fear of heights. hehehe!

According to wikipedia what i felt is...

Acrophobia (from the Greek: ἄκρον, ákron, meaning "peak, summit" and φόβος, phóbos, "fear") is an extreme or irrational fear of heights. It belongs to a category of specific phobias, called space and motion discomfort that share both similar etiology and options for treatment.

Acrophobia can be dangerous, as sufferers can experience a panic attack in a high place and become too agitated to get themselves down safely.

Valentine's 2009

Kakaiba!

Nag-date kami ng hubby ko!

Yes! totoo... kahit wala siya dito nakapag-date kami.

ONLINE

BUti na lang talaga hi-tech na ngayon. Madaming paraan to communicate.

Valentine's day is not just for couple, mag-asawa o mag-boyfriend...
Para sa lahat ng nagmamahal at minamahal...
